Greg Lauren – Nephew of Ralph – lives in Los Angeles with his wife Elizabeth Berkley, and has been having a successful career in the art world for years. However, all of a sudden, he’s decided to launch a collection of clothes – mostly jackets. We saw them at Barneys at a private showing and they are super cool heavy cotton dyed army jackets that are extremely distressed and soft and ripped, in great shapes – they look like a cross between Commes des Garcons and Libertine – with a little Balmain thrown in for good measure. That’s the good news. The bad news is that they’re mostly priced at over two thousand dollars! Taking after his famous uncle, no doubt! In any case, Barneys in Bev Hills says they are flying out of the store – so there you go. The line’s called Caravan of One-of-a Kind (Ness). Greg Lauren will do an in-store at Barneys this weekend for a preview of his fall 2011 collection:
